The news broke yesterday that salons will likely not be opening again until July. As disappointing as this is, the safety of clients and stylists is of course the most important thing. So it looks like we won't be getting our hair done for a while - what do we do now? Well, now is a great time to treat your hair to a little TLC. We have just launched our online products shop so that you can get salon products delivered to your door. This includes our favourite Goldwell, KMS and Olaplex products. Why buy salon products?

Why should you buy salon hair products when there are shampoos and conditioners in the supermarkets for half the price? Let us tell you!

1. Salon products are highly concentrated - this means you can use less product and get better results! You will go through the product slower and have to buy product less frequently. Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are often watered down, so you have to use more product to get a result.
2. Salon products have better ingredients - drugstore products often contain silicones and chemicals. These chemicals give the illusion of shiny hair, but they are simply coating your hair strands with a plastic seal. Salon products work on nourishing the hair from the inside out to create truly healthy hair.
3. To support your salon and stylists - it's always nice to shop local to support an independent salon.

Olaplex

We bang on about the magical powers of Olaplex all the time. If your hair is feeling extremely dry and dull, the Olaplex range can help to bring your hair back to life. It's so effective that when using bleach, we always mix in-salon Olaplex with the bleach to protect hair from damage. It's scientifically proven to protect hair!

We have a range of Olaplex products in stock, the shampoo(#4) and conditioner (#5), a leave in strengthening treatment (#3) and leave in styling products that improve your hair health (#7 and #6).

With lockdown, you could leave Olaplex #3 (strengthening treatment) in your hair for literally days. Just apply the treatment to damp hair and tie into a high bun. That's what many of our Stylists have been doing! It gets your hair out of your way and leaves it feeling super soft. Then when this is all over, your hair will be healthy and prepared for all the bleach and dye we can throw at it.

Goldwell - Just Smooth

With the focus on improving your hair health, Goldwell's Just Smooth range is another of our stylists favourites. Its shampoo and conditioner is cheaper than Olaplex if you're on a bit of a budget.

The Just Smooth taming shampoo and conditioner are luxurious products that tame frizz and (as its name states) smooths hair.

There is also a Just Smooth leave in conditioning treatment. The 60 second treatment regenerates hair in 60 seconds (not that we're in a rush) and leaves your hair looking shiny and feeling smooth. Perfect for coarse hair that needs a little taming.
