A Chatty Update

It has been almost 2 months since we closed the salon! Unfortunately, it’s looking like we will not be able to reopen until early July. We are so sad about this but the safety of our clients and stylists will always come first. If there are any updates, we will make sure to keep you posted on our social media channels. We’re currently not taking any pre bookings, we’ll let you know if this changes.

This is the longest we have gone without doing hair and we’re going a little bit mad.  But, like everyone else, we’re trying to keep ourselves busy and productive, so here’s a little update on what we have been doing during lockdown:

Online products shop

Salon hair products

We launched our online shop so you can buy Olaplex, Goldwell and KMS products directly from our salon! If you like to shop small and support local businesses, it’s more important now than ever. We really appreciate every purchase and we always take precautions to ensure your products arrive to your door safely and on time.❤️Read more on why you should switch to salon products on our previous blog post.

We made a TikTok account

Tiktok profile Screenshot

Isn’t this what all the cool kids are doing during lockdown? We caved and made a TikTok account. It’s actually very entertaining. If you’d like to follow us you can @ hairboutiqueexeter. We’ve also been keeping ourselves busy on Instagram and Facebook. We love hearing from you guys, so if there’s anything specific you’d like to see from us on social media, let us know!

Online training

Barbicide certificate

Our stylists have been keeping busy with some online training, including Barbicide hygiene training. So when we reopen we will be all brushed up on health and safety to keep you all safe in our salon. Hopefully this reassures you, you’re always in the hands of experts!

Hair TLC

Our hair has been enjoying lockdown far more than we have. It has been nice to take a little break from styling and get back to basics with our hair. We’ve been washing our hair way less frequently to bring back some of its natural shine (ah finally a valid excuse to skip hair wash day). When we do wash it, our stylists love to use leave in conditioning treatments and protein masks and just leave it on for day(s). This is going to work miracles for any bleach damaged hair and get it back to health before our salon is back in action!

It’s so lovely to hear from everyone on social media, we really enjoy reading your comments! One little warning before we go. We’ve said it before and we’ll be saying it again… please don’t use box dye/bleach on your hair! It’ll all end in tears (or an expensive colour correction job when we reopen).

We’re all in this together. Stay safe ❤️
